Aging baby boomers are placing greater demands on the healthcare market to provide care in the home. At an estimated 73 million, this generation is the second largest age group after the millennials. In 2018, there were 52 million people 65 and older, according to the Census Bureau’s Vintage Population Estimates. More than 10,000 baby boomers turn 65 every day, and 90 percent plan to remain in their homes as they age. While the population is getting older, one in six American workers provide care for an aging loved one. This caregiver is called a sandwich caregiver because they usually have a job on top of caring for both an adult and a child in their home. Seniors Consultants can help seniors, and their families connect to resources needed to ensure the senior remains independent and enjoy a better quality of life.

Terri Ross, CEO of Seniors Consultants who is also a senior, and case manager, has experienced firsthand the needs of seniors and their family members who may become caregivers at some point as the senior continues to age.  By having both the experiences (work, life) and driven by the data, Ms. Ross started her own company that is senior centric and tailored to both the older adult and their family (caregivers) needs.

Seniors Consultants provides information and referral services for older adults to age in place. We specialize in providing information about Social Security benefits, Medicare/Medicaid Health plan counseling, and Care Coordination Services for Older Adults, and their families. We help Seniors and their families connect to appropriate resources to ensure both family members and seniors have the tools needed to make informed decisions about the health and well-being of their loved one while they age-in-place with dignity.
